So, I decided to sketch a logo for XSPF and release it under the public domain.

My initial attempt, which took a lot of time, is quite cool, IMO. I
labeled it version 1.

A few people have pointed out, and they were right, that it would be a
mess to convert it into a vector, plus a logo should always work on a
white background. Okay, I grabbed it, made a few fixes on contrast
and removed the black bg. The result is this:

It's not quite right, is it? It's still not possible to vector trace
it easily. And I had a friend trying it too. Oh, well. So, I
decided to go ahead and instead of redoing everything from scratch, I
tried to keep using the same letters. I removed the flames and added
a strong, stylized stroke. Version 1.5 was born, and this is the
result:

It doesn't look bad, but maybe it's somewhat plain. I've made a lot of
tests to extend it and the results will mark me as amateur, but hey,
that's what I am :)

I based my first attempt on the fact I wanted to do something that
would remind people of XML. Hence, I put the letters inside an
application window. See? Application, XML, application, XML. Makes
sense, right?

Okay, maybe it wasn't the greatest idea ever. I now decided to play
with elipses.

So, why did I post all this? I would like feedback from other members
of the list. Also, I'm providing all these files under the public
domain. If you like them and plan on using them to represent XSPF
somewhere, go ahead, they're yours. If you are more skilled at this
than me, go ahead and improve, or propose a new design.

Now, all the legal blabber.
