Quite nice...

My background is in interaction design and once during my study a 
professor told me that a good logo is a logo which can be photocoppied, 
thrashed, photocoppied again and still be readable and bring the 
message/brand across.

Perhaps this anecdote could be used as the 'unit test' for the logo? ;)

Anyway, I would recommened to print the logo in several sizes to see how 
it would work for press besides the digital version. Perhaps contact an 
experienced designer for some advice/critique because creating a logo 
can be just as a daunting task as writing a decent open standaard such 
as XSPF ;)
