Any chance that you might consider replacing MP3 with Vorbis? We
really cannot endorse the use of MP3. Besides it being a patented and
ancient format with bad quality, the WHATWG is making an effort of
turning Vorbis into a web standard.
Also, think of the bandwidth savings.

Well, this MIME suggestion is actually the more correct. If people
(and software) keep in mind that JSPF is based of XSPF, the relation
is obvious.

I suggest that you put it under LGPL, since it's more balanced than
the two extremes you are considering.
