Well, the word behind might be a bit too strong for my taste as I see 
both protocols as to be complimentary and not so much as competitors. 
However we do need to address people in such a way that this becomes clear.

Yes. Would it be possible for everybody using specific extensions to 
send them to this list and Sebastian and I can put them on the site? I 
would prefer to focus on extensions which have been used in open source 
applications so that we can easily verify the extension is indeed working.

Making sure the extensions in use are widely seen and used. This would 
mean people see what is possible with extensions and would encourage 
them to create AND use extensions available in the 'wild'.
