It seems to me that a 10MB (or however huge) XML Schema file is suboptimal 
but not wrong, and if it's useful to XSPF users then it's a good thing. 
The one issue is finding a volunteer to do the work.  Given that Sebastian 
is arguing against it it's not fair to ask him.
