Um, sorry, I don't know which earlier advice you're referring to...

Let's sort out the stuff on the table --

I) HELP FOR USERS
proposal 1: mailing list
proposal 2: web-based forums

II) APPLICATIONS LIST
proposal 1: wiki-based, using the xiph.org wiki
proposal 2: portal, probably linked with the web-based forums
proposal 3: improve the current page by making it a sortable table
  option A: sort is server-side
  option B: sort is javascript on client-side

We don't all have to agree on which proposals to adopt, though
adopting more than one proposal will split our resources.  And to my
mind the choice goes to those who do the work.  I'll support anybody
who starts any project all, regardless of whether it's the same angle
I would have taken.

On the issue of the wiki, anybody who wants to edit it needs a
subversion account.  I will ask for accounts for Ivo, Bjorn and
Sebastian.
