Yep, but its been a long time in coming for us. Who else uses RDF? I  
can't think of any significant adoptions of RDF in recent times.

Yes!

MusicIP's MusicDNS service uses MMD (MusicBrainz Metadata) XML  
already, so we already have one example of a third party adopting it.  
And our new web service that just clawed its way out of beta uses  
this format:
