thanks for the bonk on the head. I get a literal-minded (thinking a
track must be an audio file) sometimes. you've found exactly the
solution I've been looking for.

I wonder how much of the installed base of players actually follow the
spec on this point (and recursively follows xspf sublinks). I've yet
to see an xspf file in the wild that makes use of this feature. Extra
points to whoever finds the first infinite loop of XSPF reference! (we
find those all the time in rss/atom feed rel="alternate" tags)
