At Sebastian's request I have underground research into GPL 3 and its
LGPL variant, and there's nothing to worry about here.

Here's why:
* L/GPL 3 has several benefits over v2.
* LGPL code may still be separated from the main software, causing no
license clashes
* The XSPF validator isn't supposed to be distributed by Microsoft[1] anyway

[1] They made an oath similar to "We will meet again, Richard
Stallman". and then they ran off.  Okay, what they actually said was
"We shall not distribute GPL 3 licensed software".
