I would love as well that those twats would use libSpiff, but if they
can't be bothered to hear you, don't press on the subject longer than
needed.  We risk to see something in the lines of "Oh yeah?  You know
what, I'm tired of all this XSPF crap.  I don't even use it.  Fuck
XSPF.", which is not a good thing obviously.

So, I have to ask that you stop before it comes to that.  Not because
I don't agree with you -- I do -- but because I know human nature.
It's like those rams constantly beating each other horn on horn for no
reason other than to see who's stronger.  In the end they get nothing
in return for that fight and get eaten by some stray wolf.  And we
have some really mean wolves out there.
